John Haley

John Haley

John Haley is the chief executive officer for Towers Watson. Prior to the merger of Watson Wyatt Worldwide and Towers Perrin, John was president, chief executive officer and chairman of the board of Watson Wyatt.

John joined Watson Wyatt in 1977 and became the consulting actuary to several of Watson Wyatt's largest clients. From 1992 to 1995, he managed the Washington, D.C., consulting office. During this period, he was named to the board of directors and negotiated the strategic alliance with Watsons in the U.K.  In 1995, he was appointed the leader of the global retirement practice. He was named Watson Wyatt’s chief executive officer in 1998.

John also serves on the board of directors of the U.S.-China Business Council and is a fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. He is a trustee of The Actuarial Foundation. He has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Rutgers College and received a fellowship for two years of study at the Graduate School of Mathematics at Yale University.

Mark Mactas

Mark Mactas

Mark Mactas, president and chief operating officer of Towers Watson, served as Towers Perrin's chief executive officer and chairman of the board prior to the firm’s merger with Watson Wyatt. He has overall responsibility for the firm’s business operations, including its regional operations and its three business segments: Benefits, Risk and Financial Services, and Talent and Rewards.

Mark joined Towers Perrin’s New York office in 1980 as an international consultant. Before becoming chief executive officer in 2001, he managed the firm's global Health and Welfare line of business and was a member of Towers Perrin's management committee.

He is a trustee of Save the Children, a former board member of the Association of Management Consulting Firms and a member of the Economic Club of New York. He is a fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, and is a member of both the American Academy of Actuaries and the International Actuarial Association. He is a past president of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries and has served on the board of directors of the American Academy of Actuaries. Mark has a bachelor’s degree in math and economics from Lehigh University.

Julie Gebauer

Julie Gebauer

Julie Gebauer leads Towers Watson’s Talent and Rewards business segment, a comprehensive set of services that includes executive and employee compensation, workforce strategies and solutions, employee surveys, data services and technology. During her 23 years at Towers Perrin, she held a number of leadership roles, including head of the global workforce effectiveness and employee survey businesses.

Julie received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Nebraska, where she was honored as a Chancellor's Scholar. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a fellow of the Society of Actuaries. She was inducted into the YWCA's Academy of Women Achievers. She is a co-author of the book, Closing the Engagement Gap: How Great Companies Unlock Employee Potential for Superior Results.

Tricia Guinn

Tricia Guinn

Tricia Guinn is head of Towers Watson’s Risk and Financial Services business segment, which includes the firm's brokerage, investment services and risk consulting, and software lines of business. She formerly was managing director of Towers Perrin’s Risk and Financial Services segment and a member of Towers Perrin's executive council and board of directors. She also directed the firm's enterprise risk management and retirement risk solutions ventures.

Named by Business Insurance as one of the publication’s “2009 Women to Watch” in the risk management profession, Tricia is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a chartered enterprise risk analyst. She currently serves as a board member of the International Insurance Society. Tricia graduated with honors from Hendrix College and furthered her studies with postgraduate courses at Columbia University.

Gene Wickes

Gene Wickes

Gene Wickes leads Towers Watson’s Benefits business segment, which includes retirement and health care consulting, as well as technology and administration solutions. He previously served as a senior consultant and actuary with Watson Wyatt Worldwide. He also was the global director for Watson Wyatt's Benefits Group. Gene has 30 years of experience consulting on retirement, actuarial, plan administration and other human resource issues.

Gene attended Brigham Young University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and master’s degrees in mathematics and economics. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and an enrolled actuary under ERISA.

Bob Charles

Bob Charles

Bob Charles is the regional leader for Towers Watson in Asia-Pacific and has responsibility for the firm's business development and client relationships throughout the region. He previously was managing director of Watson Wyatt Asia-Pacific, with oversight for the firm's business in the region. An actuary by profession, he headed Watson Wyatt's employee benefits consulting practice in Asia-Pacific and was the managing consultant for Watson Wyatt's Hong Kong office for four years.

Bob has more than 10 years of experience in the Asia-Pacific region and has lived in Hong Kong and India. He is the author of Watson Wyatt's Ageing Workforce Asia-Pacific study and a frequent speaker on the implications of Asia's demographics on retirement and health care provisions in the 21st century. He is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (U.K.) and has a first-class honors degree in mathematics from Oxford University.

Jim Foreman

Jim Foreman has overall responsibility for Towers Watson’s North America region. He also is a member of the firm's executive committee. He is the former managing director of Towers Perrin’s Human Capital Group, with overall responsibility for its global lines of business and geographic operations. He worked for more than 20 years at Towers Perrin in a number of leadership positions, including managing director of Towers Perrin's Health and Welfare business, before joining Aetna in 2005 to become the executive vice president of national businesses and a member of the executive committee. At Aetna, he was responsible for national accounts, global benefits, Medicaid and group insurance. He rejoined Towers Perrin in May 2007.

Jim has a bachelor's degree in business-economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and studied international business at the University of Melbourne in Australia.

Luiz Roberto Gouvêa

Luiz Roberto Gouvêa

Luiz Roberto Gouvêa has responsibility for Towers Watson’s Latin America region. He previously was a Towers Perrin principal, a benefits consultant, the regional manager for Latin America and the market Leader for Brazil. He has helped clients align their HR policy with business strategy, including the development and management of post-retirement plans, supporting clients with actuarial advice and financial planning services. He has coordinated and participated in numerous studies to restructure the benefit plans of national and multinational companies.

Luiz graduated in electric engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica and in actuarial sciences from the Faculdade de Economia e Finanças do Rio de Janeiro. He is a member of the Instituto Brasileiro de Atuária (the Brazilian actuarial society).

Babloo Ramamurthy

Babloo Ramamurthy

Babloo Ramamurthy is the regional leader for Towers Watson in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and has responsibility for the firm’s sales and client relationships in the region. Babloo joined the firm in 1977. After spending six years as part of a Watson Wyatt retirement consulting team based in London, he spent three years with the firm’s international benefits and compensation consulting team based in the New York region, where he dealt primarily with the head offices of U.S. multinational companies.

After returning to the U.K., Babloo was the head of Watson Wyatt’s European human capital consulting business from 1997 to 1999 and then head of the European benefits consulting practice from 1999 to 2004, before being appointed the regional manager for Europe in May 2004. He served on the board of Watson Wyatt Worldwide from 2005 to 2008. He earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in mathematics from King's College in London.

Anne Bodnar

Anne Bodnar

Anne Bodnar is Towers Watson’s chief administrative officer. She previously served as managing director of human resources at Towers Perrin beginning in 2001. From 1995 to 2000, she led the firm's recruiting and learning and development efforts. Prior to that, she was a strategy consultant in the firm's Human Capital business. Earlier in her career, she held several operational and strategic planning roles at what is now JP Morgan Chase.

Anne graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Smith College and has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Anne was elected to the YWCA's Academy of Women Achievers in 1999. She published a chapter entitled "HR as a Strategic Partner" in Human Resources Leadership Strategies: Fifteen Ways to Enhance HR Value in Your Company.

Walter Bardenwerper

Walter Bardenwerper

Walter Bardenwerper, general counsel and head of Towers Watson’s legal affairs, is a former vice president, general counsel and secretary of Watson Wyatt Worldwide. In 1987, he joined The Wyatt Company as its first general counsel, and he managed the legal affairs of the company's global operations. He served on the board of directors and on the executive and finance committees. He is also a director of Professional Consultants Insurance Company, a professional liability insurer owned by Watson Wyatt, Towers Perrin and Milliman.

Walter received a bachelor’s degree with honors in economics from the University of Virginia, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and a J.D. from The University of Virginia Law School. He also completed an executive management program at Harvard Business School. He is a member of the District of Columbia, Vermont, Kentucky, Virginia and U.S. Supreme Court bars, as well as the American Corporate Counsel Association.

Tony Candito

As chief information officer, Tony Candito is Towers Watson’s head of Information Technology. He is the former chief administrative officer and chief information officer of Towers Perrin, where he was responsible for Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Real Estate and Office Services. He was a member of Towers Perrin's executive council.

Before joining Towers Perrin, Tony was senior vice president and chief information officer of Metropolitan Life's Individual Business Division. Tony served as the chief information officer and president for New England Financial and NEF Information Services before their acquisition by MetLife in 1996. He graduated magna cum laude from Bridgewater State College.

Sharon Clark

Sharon Clark

Sharon Clark is head of Marketing at Towers Watson. She previously was managing director, global marketing, for Towers Perrin, where she headed up the firm’s strategic and tactical marketing functions, including branding, media relations, marketing services, marketing communications, line-of-business marketing and field marketing.

Sharon's experience includes more than 30 years managing marketing and sales organizations, as well as general management positions. Prior to joining Towers Perrin, she was head of marketing for Bearing Point (then KPMG Consulting), served as vice president of sales and marketing for Marcam, a global ERP firm, and spent more than 20 years with IBM heading up various sales and marketing organizations. Sharon has a degree in communications from Michigan State University.

Gordon L. Gould

Gordon L. Gould

Gordon L. Gould is the head of strategy and corporate development at Towers Watson, a role he held at Towers Perrin prior to its merger with Watson Wyatt. This group helps the firm develop and execute on its strategy by evaluating and pursuing internal and external investments, including organic investments, acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures and divestitures.

Prior to leading corporate development, Gordon was Towers Perrin’s chief actuary from 1999 to 2000, managing principal of the firm's Denver office from 1996 to 2000, and a senior consultant in the Los Angeles office from 1986 to 1995. Gordon has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University and is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a chartered financial analyst.

Steve Mele

Steve Mele

Head of Human Resources at Towers Watson, Steve Mele has nearly 30 years of experience managing corporate HR programs, including his senior HR position at Watson Wyatt at the time of its merger with Towers Perrin.

Steve joined Watson Wyatt from Mercer HR Consulting, where he was the chief people and technology officer. Prior to that, he held senior-level HR positions in the U.K. and continental Europe at Prudential International, Standard Chartered Bank, Clearstream (formerly The Cedel Group) and Schlumberger. Steve has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Roger F. Millay

Roger F. Millay

Roger F. Millay is head of Finance at Towers Watson. Prior to his firm’s merger with Towers Perrin, he was vice president and chief financial officer of Watson Wyatt. Before joining Watson Wyatt, he was with Discovery Communications LLC, a global cable TV programmer and digital media provider, where he served as senior executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Roger has more than 25 years of experience in financial officer positions, including roles at Arthur Young & Company, Citigroup and GE Capital. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in accounting from Georgetown University's Graduate School of Business. He also is a certified public accountant.
