Kevin Aselstine

Kevin is the Managing Director for Towers Watson Canada. Kevin’s professional experience includes more than 30 years in workforce effectiveness and total rewards with a focus on all aspects of design, implementation, communication and administration. Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from the University of Western Ontario, and is a Fellow of both the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the American Society of Actuaries.
 

Brian Reidy

Brian Reidy

Brian is the Managing Consultant for Towers Watson Calgary. He has over 25 years of experience working with a wide range of organizations, including seven years as a C-level executive in the energy technology sector. Brian draws on his expertise to partner with clients on human capital, merger and acquisition, and total rewards strategies. Brian received an MBA at the University of Colorado, a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University, a Certificate in Financial Markets from New York University and a C.C.P. from World at Work.

Laura Samaroo is the Managing Consultant for Towers Watson Vancouver. Laura’s professional expertise includes 19 years of experience in assisting organizations achieve business goals through effective plan design, funding, risk management and executive pension arrangements. Laura holds a BSC in Statistics and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

Michel Tougas

Michel Tougas is the Managing Consultant for Towers Watson, Montreal. With 25 years of experience, Michel has expertise in working with Finance and HR executives to re-engineer, design and implement HR policies and total rewards programs to support changing business strategies. He consults to some of Canada’s largest employers across a range of industries, including the financial services and manufacturing sectors. Michel’s academic background includes statistics, mathematics and economics.

Wendy Poirier

Wendy Poirier is the Health and Group Benefits Leader, Canada. Wendy has 20 years of consulting experience in all areas of health and group benefits: traditional and flexible benefit design, funding, and administration; developing health care and pharmacy benefit strategies; building wellness programs, and creating approaches to workforce well-being. Wendy has a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and the CEBS designation.

Karen Figueiredo

Karen Figueiredo is the Canadian Investment Leader. With over 25 years of experience, Karen brings specific expertise in setting policy for asset allocation and investment strategies to manage defined benefit plan financial risk, as well as defined contribution programs. Karen holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba and is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

 

Mike Mulville

Michael T. Mulville

Michael T. Mulville is the Reinsurance Leader, Canada. Mike has over 40 years experience in the Canadian and International property and casualty reinsurance arena. Areas of expertise include treaty and facultative underwriting and reinsurance broking. Mike also brings extensive experience in domestic and international reinsurance with a particular emphasis on general liability, professional liability and surety. Mike is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Canada and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP).

Hélène Pouliot is the Risk Consulting and Software Leader, Canada. Hélène specializes in capital and risk management, financial reporting, value-added performance measurement, reinsurance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. She is also a Society of Actuaries Certified Enterprise Risk Analyst and has a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Sciences from University of Laval.

Ofelia Isabel leads the Canadian Rewards, Talent and Communication line of business for Towers Watson. Based in Toronto, Ofelia has 20 years of experience in designing, developing and implementing total reward programs and employee value propositions. She is a Canadian Human Resources Professional (CHRP), as well as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

Fiona Macdonald

Fiona Macdonald is the Director, Executive Compensation Canada. Fiona has more than 20 years experience with a focus on consulting to boards and senior management on executive and director compensation issues. Fiona holds both a BA in International Relations, as well as an MBA, from the University of British Columbia and is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors program.
