Collection of personal information

If you apply for an employment position with us, you will be asked to provide certain personal information such as your name and contact information, your education and employment history, your work skills, and information about where you would like to work.

Using and sharing your personal information

Your personal information may be shared with Towers Watson, as well as with contractors and other third parties who may be working with Towers Watson for purposes of evaluating candidates for employment opportunities with us (e.g., recruitment agencies, information technology system suppliers, salary evaluators, immigration and expatriate assistants) or who may be involved in managing our technology infrastructure We may also be required by law to share employment applicant information with regulatory authorities or as required by law or for compliance reasons. Any third parties with whom we share your personal information will only be permitted to use that information for purposes relating to your employment application with Towers Watson, and not for any separate use. They will also be required to uphold privacy and security obligations that are substantially similar to those that will be applied to your personal information by Towers Watson.

In addition, if you supply references to support your employment application, we may contact those individuals to help us evaluate you for employment opportunities at Towers Watson. Doing so will necessarily involve a limited disclosure of your personal information to those individuals, such as your name, the fact that you have submitted an application for employment to Towers Watson, and the fact that you are interested in a certain type of employment position.

If you are employed, your personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable Towers Watson privacy policies which will be available to see on the company's intranet upon starting with Towers Watson. Also, some of your personal information may be disclosed to regulatory and tax authorities, or to other individuals at Towers Watson or working with Towers Watson in connection with your employment with Towers Watson but who are not directly involved in the hiring or evaluation process.

Transfer of your personal information to other countries

Since Towers Watson has affiliates in many countries, your information may be transferred to or be accessible by individuals outside of the country in which you reside. Some of those countries may have different privacy and data security standards than your country, and some may not require the same level of protection. Your personal data may be stored electronically as well as in off-line files in those countries. Regardless of where Towers Watson receives or holds your information, we will take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Retention of your information

Towers Watson stores applications received through its recruitment site and will retain such information for the purpose of considering you for additional employment opportunities unless you specifically request that we delete it.

Towers Watson takes reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is protected from unauthorized access, and that personal information provided by you is not changed or altered during the recruitment process without your express permission.
