Getting Hired

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Considering starting your career with Towers Watson? We're guessing you have questions about the company and our hiring process — and here’s what we can tell you.

When does Towers Watson recruit on campus? What are your start dates?

In most of the world, our peak recruiting period occurs between September and December. However, there are some exceptions, so check out our calendar to see when we’ll be recruiting in the region you wish to work in.

Some offices do not have fixed start dates, and you can decide your start date with your manager. Where there are fixed start dates, it’s usually because of our training schedule — we always will consider requests for flexibility, but please understand we may not always be able to accommodate them.

Does Towers Watson hire interns?

Yes, we offer student work programs in all of our geographic regions. Check out our Intern Calendar for specific information. At Towers Watson, we devote a lot of time and energy to making our intern programs the best they can be. Why? We consider interns to be critical — after all, many of our best university hires were once our best interns.

An internship opportunity at Towers Watson will give you real-world experience that will help you gain a competitive edge over your peers. As an intern, you’ll be able to apply your education in an environment that is both intellectually challenging and rewarding.

At the end of your time with us, you’ll have a deep understanding of what it is we do and will be better able to judge how closely our career offerings match your career ambitions.

Can I apply again if I have previously been unsuccessful?

We always welcome qualified applicants for any position, and are glad to consider people who have previously applied. We do, however, ask you to only submit one application per position and per recruitment cycle.

If you wish to reapply for a position during the following cycle, you must complete a new application. Please note that you will need to demonstrate how you have broadened your experience and skills since submitting your original application.

Does Towers Watson support sponsorship of applicants to work in countries where a visa may be required?

Please contact your local graduate recruitment team for details.

How does Towers Watson develop its university hires?

Our university hires are the future of Towers Watson’s business and, as a result, we invest a great deal of time and energy in their development. Learn more about our general approach on this site’s Learning and Development section.
