John Haley

Chief Executive Officer

John Haley is the chairman and chief executive officer of Towers Watson. He joined the company in 1977 and throughout his career served in a variety of roles including consulting actuary to several of the company’s largest clients, manager of the Washington, D.C. consulting office and leader of the global retirement practice. John was named CEO in 1998. Under his leadership, the company went public in 2000 and completed two historic mergers, in 2005 and 2010, that formed present-day Towers Watson.

John also serves on the board of directors of MAXIMUS and Hudson Global, Inc. He is a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, and has served as a trustee of The Actuarial Foundation.

John has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Rutgers College and received a fellowship for two years of study at the Graduate School of Mathematics at Yale University.

Julie Gebauer

Julie Gebauer

Managing Director, Talent and Rewards

Julie Gebauer leads Towers Watson’s Talent and Rewards business segment, a comprehensive set of services that includes executive and employee compensation, workforce strategies and solutions, employee surveys, data services and technology. During her 23 years at Towers Perrin, she held a number of leadership roles, including head of the global workforce effectiveness and employee survey businesses.

Julie received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Nebraska, where she was honored as a Chancellor’s Scholar. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. She was inducted into the YWCA’s Academy of Women Achievers. She is a coauthor of the book,Closing the Engagement Gap: How Great Companies Unlock Employee Potential for Superior Results.

Tricia Guinn

Managing Director, Risk and Financial Services

Tricia Guinn is head of Towers Watson’s Risk and Financial Services business segment, which includes the company’s investment services, risk consulting, and software lines of business. She formerly was managing director of Towers Perrin’s Risk and Financial Services segment, and a member of Towers Perrin’s executive council and board of directors. She also directed the firm’s enterprise risk management and retirement risk solutions ventures.

Named by Business Insurance as one of the publication’s “2009 Women to Watch” in the risk management profession, Tricia is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a chartered enterprise risk analyst. She currently serves as a board member of the International Insurance Society. Tricia graduated with honors from Hendrix College and furthered her studies with postgraduate courses at Columbia University.

Gene Wickes

Managing Director, Benefits

Gene Wickes leads Towers Watson’s Benefits business segment, which includes retirement and health care consulting, as well as technology and administration solutions. He previously served as a senior consultant and actuary with Watson Wyatt Worldwide. He also was the global director for Watson Wyatt’s Benefits Group. Gene has 30 years of experience consulting on retirement, actuarial, plan administration and other human resource issues.

Gene attended Brigham Young University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, and master’s degrees in mathematics and economics. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and an enrolled actuary under ERISA.

Jim Foreman

Managing Director, Exchange Solutions

James K. Foreman (age 55) has served as Managing Director, Exchange Solutions, since February 1, 2014, and prior to that as Managing Director, The Americas, of Towers Watson since April 1, 2011. Immediately prior to that, he served as Managing Director of the North America region of Towers Watson since January 1, 2010. Prior to the merger of legacy Towers Perrin and legacy Watson Wyatt, Mr. Foreman served as Managing Director of the Human Capital Group of Towers Perrin beginning June 2007, with overall responsibility for the global lines of business and geographic operations of Towers Perrin’s Human Capital Group. Mr. Foreman joined Towers Perrin in 1985, and worked for almost 20 years at Towers Perrin in a number of leadership positions, including Managing Director of Towers Perrin’s Health and Welfare practice and member of Towers Perrin’s board of directors from 2003 to 2005, before joining Aetna Inc. in 2005 to become the executive vice president of their national businesses division. He rejoined Towers Perrin in June 2007. Mr. Foreman holds a B.A. in business economics from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Bob Charles

Managing Director, Asia Pacific

Bob Charles is the regional leader for Towers Watson in Asia Pacific and has responsibility for the company’s business development and client relationships throughout the region. He previously was managing director of Watson Wyatt Asia Pacific, with oversight for the firm’s business in the region. An actuary by profession, he headed Watson Wyatt’s employee benefits consulting practice in Asia Pacific and was the managing consultant for Watson Wyatt’s Hong Kong office for four years.

Bob has more than 10 years of experience in the Asia Pacific region, and has lived in Hong Kong and India. He is the author of Watson Wyatt’s Ageing Workforce Asia Pacific study and a frequent speaker on the implications of Asia’s demographics on retirement and health care provisions in the 21st century. He is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (U.K.) and has a first-class honors degree in mathematics from Oxford University.

Carl Hess

Managing Director, The Americas

Carl A. Hess (age 52) has served as Managing Director, The Americas, of Towers Watson since February 1, 2014, and has also served as the Managing Director of Towers Watson's Investment business since January 1, 2010. Prior to that, he worked in a variety of roles over 20 years at Watson Wyatt, lastly as Global Practice Director of Watson Wyatt's Investment business. Mr. Hess is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst. He has a B.A. cum laude in logic and language from Yale University.

Paul Morris

Managing Director, EMEA

Paul G. Morris has served as managing director for Towers Watson in Europe, the Middle East and Africa since September 1, 2011. Previously, he served as director, consulting services, for Towers Watson. Paul served as a managing consultant of Watson Wyatt from 2005 until the consummation of the merger. He joined The Wyatt Company in 1988. Following the establishment of the global Watson Wyatt Worldwide alliance in 1995, he served as a senior consultant of Watson Wyatt Partners from 1995 through 1999 and became a partner in 1999. Paul is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the Institute of Actuaries, and has a B.A. in applied mathematics from Harvard College and an M.Sc. in applied mathematics from Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

Anne Bodnar

Chief Administrative Officer

Anne Bodnar is Towers Watson’s chief administrative officer. She previously served as managing director of human resources at Towers Perrin, beginning in 2001. From 1995 to 2000, she led the firm’s recruiting, and learning and development efforts. Prior to that, she was a strategy consultant in the firm’s Human Capital business. Earlier in her career, she held several operational and strategic planning roles at what is now JPMorgan Chase.

Anne graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Smith College and has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Anne was elected to the YWCA’s Academy of Women Achievers in 1999. She published a chapter entitled “HR as a Strategic Partner” in Human Resources Leadership Strategies: Fifteen Ways to Enhance HR Value in Your Company.

Sharon Clark

Chief Marketing Officer

Sharon Clark is head of Marketing at Towers Watson. She previously was managing director, Global Marketing, for Towers Perrin, where she headed up the firm’s strategic and tactical marketing functions, including branding, media relations, marketing services, marketing communications, line-of-business marketing and field marketing.

Sharon’s experience includes more than 30 years managing marketing and sales organizations, as well as general management positions. Prior to joining Towers Perrin, she was head of marketing for Bearing Point (then KPMG Consulting), served as vice president of sales and marketing for Marcam, a global ERP firm, and spent more than 20 years with IBM heading up various sales and marketing organizations. Sharon has a degree in communications from Michigan State University.

John Dick

Chief Information Officer

John Dick is the chief information officer (CIO) for Towers Watson. He has global accountability for the systems and technology supporting the organization. He joined Towers Watson in 2012.

John has more than 30 years of information technology, consulting and financial services experience. This includes serving as CIO for Western Union, Regions Financial and Ally Financial (formerly GMAC NA). His experience also extends to leadership and consulting positions with large banks, as well as PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is widely recognized and published as an expert on information technology and leadership.

A graduate of the University of Virginia’s School of Commerce, John earned an M.B.A. degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and has completed executive leadership programs at the Center for Creative Leadership and the MIT Sloan School of Business. He currently serves on the board of advisors of the CIO Executive Council.

Kirkland Hicks

Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Kirkland L. Hicks has served as vice president, general counsel and secretary of Towers Watson since November 2012. From July 2011 to October 2012, he also served as chair of Towers Watson’s Diversity and Inclusion Council for the Americas. Kirkland was previously the managing counsel-commercial, Americas for Towers Watson from January 2010 to November 2012. Prior to that, he was senior counsel and head of Commercial Law at Watson Wyatt Worldwide, Inc. from May 2000 to December 2009. Kirkland was previously an attorney with major law firms from 1997 to 2000. He has a B.S. in computer science from North Carolina A&T State University and a J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where he serves on the board of visitors. Kirkland has also completed an executive leadership program at Harvard Business School. He is a member of the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia (corporate counsel) bars, as well as the American Corporate Counsel Association.

Gail McKee

Chief Human Resources Officer

Gail McKee is the chief human resources officer at Towers Watson. Previously, she served as managing consultant of the Pacific Northwest region and was an internal member of the Towers Watson board of directors. Prior to the merger, she worked at Watson Wyatt for over 15 years. At Watson Wyatt, she was a managing consultant in both Southern California and the Pacific Northwest, and she served on the Watson Wyatt board of directors. She has worked with large organizations on a broad range of domestic and international human resource programs for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Watson Wyatt, Gail worked for three years with The Walt Disney Company as the manager of international compensation and benefits, and prior to that position, as an account manager for Hewitt Associates for seven years. She holds a B.A. degree in English from the University of Washington. Gail is a board of trustee member of the Council on Employee Benefits, a founding member and former president of the Human Resources Planning Society affiliate in the Pacific Northwest, and a member emeritus of the business school advisory board for Central Washington University.

Roger Millay

Chief Financial Officer

Roger F. Millay is vice president and chief financial officer at Towers Watson. Before the firm’s merger with Towers Perrin, he held the same position at Watson Wyatt. Before joining Watson Wyatt, he was with Discovery Communications LLC, a global cable TV programmer and digital media provider, where he served as senior executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Roger has more than 25 years of experience in financial officer positions, including roles at Arthur Young & Company, Citigroup and GE Capital. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in accounting from Georgetown University’s Graduate School of Business. He also is a certified public accountant.

Ezra Baylin

Managing Director, Strategy and Corporate Development

Ezra Baylin is the head of strategy and corporate development at Towers Watson. This group helps the company develop and execute on its strategy by evaluating and pursuing internal and external investments, including organic investments, acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures and divestitures. Preceding this appointment, Ezra had overall responsibility of the company’s corporate development and played a lead role in several strategic transactions.

Prior to joining Towers Watson in 2001, Ezra held business development positions at Employerease (acquired by ADP in 2006) and was a financial analyst in BT Alex, Brown’s technology investment banking division. Ezra has a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
