ASIA-PACIFIC, 19 April 2010 — Companies that completed deals during the first quarter of 2010 outperformed the market, according to the latest Towers Watson (NYSE, NASDAQ: TW) Quarterly Deal Performance Monitor. This is consistent with results from prior quarterly analyses, showing that deals create rather than destroy value over the period studied. This quarter’s analysis also shows an increase in the percentage of deals that cross borders, despite the relative difficulties associated with such transactions.

The transaction to form Towers Watson, a leading global professional services company, was announced on June 28, 2009.
