Towers Watson Announces New Appointments For Talent & Rewards and Executive Compensation for Malaysia

MALAYSIA, 8 December 2011 - Towers Watson (NYSE, NASDAQ: TW), a leading global professional services company, has appointed Mary Chua as Director of Talent and Rewards and Stuart A. James as Leader for the Executive Compensation Consulting, both are based in Malaysia.

As Director of Talent and Rewards, Mary will be responsible for a range of solutions in the areas of Talent Management and Rewards, Executive Compensation, Communication & Change Management and Global Data Services. Whilst Stuart will be involved in all areas of executive compensation, some of which include employment contracts, M&A due diligence, pay governance and Board remuneration. Stuart’s appointment marks the first time Towers Watson Malaysia has had on-the-ground presence for the Executive Compensation group.

Over the last 15 years, Mary has honed her expertise in international HR practices and consulting, with experience in both public and private sectors. Prior to joining Towers Watson, she held a number of regional HR corporate and consulting roles based mostly in the United Kingdom and Singapore.

Mary holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from National University of Singapore and Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from the Singapore Institute of Management.

Similarly, Stuart brings to Towers Watson more than 15 years of executive compensation having served across a number of closely held corporations and Fortune 250 organisations. Before joining Towers Watson, he served as the Director of the Chicago office of a San Francisco based compensation consulting firm, specialising in compensation design for the high-technology industry. Stuart is a member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals and WorldatWork and a graduate of New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Towers Watson recently celebrated its 35th year in Malaysia.
