Towers Watson cuts the cost of MNT elections

UK - July 21, 2010 - Towers Watson has developed an online solution that dramatically cuts the cost and time involved in undertaking member-nominated trustee (MNT) elections.

The new solution – delivered using ePA, its ‘real-time’ web application – can reduce MNT election costs by over a third in the first year and two-thirds in subsequent years.

The costs of running a member-nominated trustee election are significant, involving election forms, covering letters, candidate CVs, postage, pre-paid return envelopes, results collation and reporting, and confirmation letters.

“Our online solution not only cuts the costs of the process but automates the results collation, reducing the risk of errors, " said Jane Murray, Director of Technology and Administration Solutions at Towers Watson. "For larger schemes the potential savings are more considerable, as paper-based costs increase with the size of membership while online costs do not.”
