It is published and updated every month; this is a compilation of 44 economic indicators and other useful statistics, with tables of data, including Retail Prices Indices (RPI), Consumer Prices Index (CPI)*, Average Earnings Index (AEI), National Insurance (NI), Section 148, Bank Base Rates and Pension Scheme Earnings Cap.

* Please note: Following the announcement made by the Minister of State for Pensions, Steve Webb MP in a Written Ministerial Statement to Parliament which announced the Government’s intention to move to using the Consumer Price Index (CPI) as the measure of price inflation for the purposes of regulating occupational pension schemes, we have included CPI table and CPI annual inflation percent in the monthly statistics booklet from July 2010 issue onwards.
