Nominations for the Towers Watson 2015 HR Professional of the Year Award for Vietnam were launched in November 2014. The panel of judges comprises Towers Watson senior leaders and reputable business and HR leaders in Vietnam.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Minh, HR Director of PNJ was announced the winner at the Strategic HR Leadership Summit in Ho Chi Minh City on March 18, 2015. The event was attended by over 100 HR leaders.

Ngoc Minh has vividly demonstrated the key role that she and her HR team play in providing HR solutions to solve critical business challenges and prepare the organisation for sustainable growth and profitability. Minh also shines in engaging PNJ Board of Director and Leadership team for all her team’s great initiatives.

Over the last two and a half years, PNJ HR department has been undergoing various significant projects – organisation restructuring, redefining rewards and sales incentive structure, reforming the HR operating model, building leadership competency framework, KPI setting, and job description harmonisation. As a result of the full set of HR activities, PNJ sales growth increased by 50% in 2014 and PNJ HR function was awarded the outstanding department in the company. Ngoc Minh has consistently demonstrated tremendous energy and passion in her role during the mentioned period.

This year’s Towers Watson HR Business Partner awards were presented to Mr. Dang Minh Luom, HR Director Mobile World and Ms. Nguyen Minh Chau, Senior HR Manager, Baxter Healthcare Vietnam. These awards were in recognition of the successful partnership between HR business leaders across all levels in the organisation to deliver business results.
