The 2014 DC Plan Sponsor Survey Report includes responses from 457 large and midsize U.S. companies that sponsor a 401(k) or 403(b) plan. It summarizes the design, investments, communication approaches and fee practices in their programs.

Automatic enrollment in DC plans is commonplace, but companies are missing opportunities to increase its value by adding automatic deferral increases.
Most organizations are requiring participants to pay direct fees.
Improving communication and adding new approaches will be top priorities in the next two to three years.
