Global Pension Assets Study 2017

In this year’s study of 22 major pension markets, we found the assets of defined contribution plans growing faster than those of defined benefit plans. And the average percentage of the surveyed countries’ GDPs consisting of all pension assets dropped by 18% in 2016. Also, compared with 20 years ago, asset allocation patterns have changed a good deal, with a shift away from equities and bonds.
