Now in its 13th year, our Life European Actuarial Directors’ Forum brings together senior life insurance actuarial leaders from across EMEA to discuss the most pressing issues affecting the industry and actuarial and analytical teams.
This year’s conference held in Montreux, Switzerland, focussed on the post Solvency II journey. Topics of discussion included: capital efficiency with a new perspective on the use of reinsurance; the continued hunt for yield in an environment where the interest rate is lower for longer; and the transformation of the financial reporting process.
Delegates also heard our perspective on the future of the life insurance industry with sessions on product innovation, InsurTech and advanced analytics.
Joining us as a keynote speaker was Tamas Bown, Head of Life Solutions EMEA, SwissRe, and Carl Hess, our Global Head of Investment, Risk & Reinsurance set the scene of the conference with a five-year outlook on issues affecting life insurers, investors and businesses as the central bank liquidity wave crests.
