PRAGUE, Wednesday 16 September, 2015 - Global professional services company Towers Watson has opened a new office in the Czech Republic and appointed Roger Gascoigne to lead it.

Roger joins from KPMG where he was the partner with overall responsibility for services to the insurance sector in the Czech Republic and the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region. He has over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry and has led projects for all major insurance groups in the region, as well as working with industry associations and regulatory bodies.

Based in Prague, Roger will lead the team in offering actuarial, risk and strategic advice to the insurance industry in the Czech Republic and the CEE. He will be joined by Miroslav Šimurda, as a Senior Consultant, who spent nine years with KPMG’s Risk and Actuarial Services team where he managed major projects in the Czech Republic, Austria, Serbia and Slovenia. In addition, they will be joined by a team of five comprising consultants and analysts.
